Cysts May Be One of the Reasons for a Late Period
When I first began having late periods, I never thought that it could be related to ovarian cysts. When I visited my physician, she suggested that we take a look for cysts, as it is one of the common reasons for a late period. After I underwent the ovarian cyst screening, I found out that I did indeed have ovarian cysts. I was surprised that this was the case, especially since I had not had any pain at that point. My doctor suggested that we try a few things before considering surgically removing the cysts. I have made it a point to tell all of the women in my family that ovarian cysts can be one of the reasons for a late period. I knew that some of my family members would not be aware of this information, and I was right. This is something that all women should be made aware of, just so they can prepare themselves for what might be coming later on.
