For over 50 years, a well-kept secret has been brewing in Fresno, California. Prpoor (púhr-poor), an Armenian term which refers to the bubbling grape molasses which brews on the last day of the harvest of the grapes, is an 800 year old traditional Armenian harvest festival (similar to Thanksgiving) which has been carried on in the old world tradition for over 50 years in the Central Valley. But it has always been kept a secret... ... now The Armenian Cultural Foundation of Fresno presents: Grand Armenian Festival - Prpoor! To be held at the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Armenian Community Center in Fresno, California on September 25, 2010 (10AM-Midnight). Click here to learn more about the festival...
