Shipping Container Numbers and Facts
Each year, there are a million shipping containers transported and shipped from country to country. The shipping container industry needs to produce numerous amounts of these containers in order to cater the needs of companies that must transport products and goods all over the world. In fact, if we go by percentage, almost ninety percent of the trade in the entire world is carried by shipping containers. This exchange of products and goods is supported by more than five thousand container ships. But the question now is where do these containers end up? Previously, they become useless. After the contents are unloaded, shipping containers sit idly in docks and yards. But a few decades ago, people began to realize the importance of these used shipping containers and started container modifications. In this type of art, they use the same steel containers for building structures and buildings such as schools, homes, stores, offices, and more. In that way, used shipping containers are no longer regarded as useless right after they are unloaded in shipping yards.
